I’m Izzy – a Chicago-based writer and creative. Thanks for stopping by! 

I am an Alumni of The University of Missouri where I studied Sociology and Journalism and of the ilovecreatives Creative Copywriting course.

In my work as a copywriter, I strive to craft clean, clever copy that welcomes modern audiences like a friend. My work embraces the multi-dimensional humanity of the reader, with a sharp approach to storytelling. I utilize conversational language and incorporate social media trends to construct a story that says, “I see you.” 

I have social media marketing, copywriting and strategy experience with KCOU 88.1FM and Persimmon Creek Artists and Writers residency. My writing has been featured in Vox Magazine, The New York Times, SPIN magazine, Waveland Newsletter, among others. I also write Dreamworld, a publication dedicated to those who spend more time in a world of their own creation than in reality.

In my free time, you’ll find me frantically typing away at an essay for my Substack, spinning one of the records in my collection or scouring the bins for my latest vintage obsession.
